Bryon Best

I, Bryon Best, have a heart for public service. My upbringing in Edgefield, South Carolina has provided me with an invaluable perspective on the challenges faced by the working-class families of our state. I have made it my mission to give back to the community that raised me. I know our country faces many challenges, and  I am ready to roll up my sleeves and work to make things right. I am committed to hard work, honesty, and doing right by the people of South Carolina – these values have brought me this far in life, and I  know they’ll serve me well in Congress.

The path to success is never easy, but it becomes even tougher if you face adversities early in life. That was the case after my father passed away when I was just eleven years old. My older brothers helped me to build resilience and push through difficult experiences, and now I am running for Congress because I want to empower others to overcome their challenges and achieve their goals. I am forever grateful for my education at Strom Thurmond High School and beyond, which gave me the skills and knowledge I needed to succeed in my career and community.

After graduating from Livingstone College, I began my career at Waffle House for 9 years. As a store manager there, I learned important lessons in leadership, customer service, and how to build a team that works together for a common goal. It was also there that I met my lovely wife, Ariel, and have been married for seven years. Together we have a son, Elias.

I am dedicated to listening to constituents to find solutions to the complex issues we face. As a store manager for Sherwin Williams in Greenwood, SC, I have the pleasure of working with people from all walks of life. These experiences have prepared me to represent the interests of all citizens in District 3. I am committed to working to create opportunities for everyone and making sure we all have a brighter future. Join me in making a positive difference in our community!
